A fantastic place to stay, Paula was very helpful and welcoming, even going as far to help us with tickets for a gig at the Engine Shed. Great comfortable bed, with quality bedding all ammenties in room and bathroom you could want, and all very clean. Helped us with an early check in. Great location only a short walk to... More

A very nice place to stay indeed. Spotlessly clean and well maintained rooms, superb breakfast (One of the best ive had anywhere!) Paula and Steve create a very warm and friendly atmosphere - two very nice people who make you feel very at home and cant do enough for you - nothing is too much trouble! I would highly recommend... I had the privilege of spending 5 nights at Carholme over the christmas market period. Paula and Steve were lovely and created an amazingly relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. My room was immaculate, comfortable and well equipped and the breakfasts were delcious, catering well for my vegetarian and lacto free diet - thank you!! More

I stayed here for one week and enjoyed it. Although it was quite a walk up to the Cathedral and Castle, which may not suit everyone, it was OK for me. I liked the easy access to the Brayford and walks along the river and canal. Paula and Steve came to my rescue after my bike hire arrangements fell through... More

This guesthouse was a great experience for us. It had to do with the exceptionally nice host, the central location of the guesthouse, the great possibility to chose from several breakfast items individually such as cereal, eggs, toast, croissants, juice etc. as well as the clean rooms. Another advantage was that the city (restaurants and shopping) was within 10 minutes... More

We needed a place to stay overnight as we were going to a family party and this was the ideal place. A very warm welcome by Paula met us on arrival. Because we booked at the last minute and the rooms for two persons was occupied we were offered a family room at a discount. The bedroom therefore, had plenty... More

A lovely, friendly place to stay. Just on the edge of town, near to the golf course and the West Common with a walk into town but close to a bus stop. The guest house is full of Victorian charm and spotlessly clean. There is a good choice at breakfast including a tasty full English breakfast. I highly recommend the... More

Carholme Guest House was an immaculately presented B&B with spotless rooms, delicious breakfast and the kind of warm reception that is likely to keep people returning time after time. The hostess Paula was very sweet and welcoming, offering helpful tips for first time visitors trying to get around town. The rooms had everything you could want including wall mounted flat... More

The warm welcome and proximity to Lincoln centre made our trip so much nicer. We walked along the river into town, it was so peaceful to see the barges and swans and just as quick as the main Carholme road. Our room was comfortable and very clean and the breakfast was perfect. Having a free parking permit and ample parking... More

I stayed in a single room for my two night visit. The room was perfect for me - compact, no frills, but comfortable, well equipped (tea/coffee making facilities, wall mounted flat screen tv, desk, wardrobe), and very clean. The bed was nice and firm, and although the room faced a main road, the double glazed windows did their job and... More
