Sandalwood is a large terraced house that - like lots of other houses in the area - have been converted to a b&b. I'm therefore basing my comments on other b&b stays rather than comparing to what I'd think of as a hotel - places like Delta, Hilton, Westin etc. To make that comparison would be like comparing apples to... We stayed at The Sandalwood for one night as we were watching a show. We found the hotel to be very clean and quiet, the hosts are very friendly and helpful without being in your face, the breakfast was excellent. The price was very reasonable and it was ideally located for the North pier. We would definitely stay at The... More

We were looking for somewhere close to a charity do we were attending and found this on the Internet. On arrival we were greeted warmly and shown where best to park. Both hosts came and sat with us whilst we had a drink and a chat and we were shown the resident parrot and introduced to their son. Our room... More

I recently stayed at the Sandalwood on a B&B basis for a week. It was exceptionally good value and I can truthfully say that in all my travels, I have never come accross such fine and helpful hosts. If you give their establishment respect. Peter & Margaret will do all they can to make your stay a memorable one. I... More

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. I came for a week and would definately come back and stay here again. I had the single room which was very cosy. Margaret and Peter are so welcoming that it feels like home from home. Breakfast is whatever you want. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Thanks to both of you... More

We booked this as a last minute decision after a quick look on the internet, we went for the family room with separate bedroom for our son. The rooms were wonderful and had everything we needed, the owners Pete and Margaret could not do enough to help us. We have already booked to go back later in the year, and... More

Myself and my best friend went for a girlie weekend away. This was an idea place to stay as we felt safe and well cared for. It was only a 15 minute walk to central Blackpool (pier etc) but you could have got bus/tram/taxi. You are given your own keys and a code so you can come and go as... More
