We stayed here for one night on our way up to Scotland. Richard, the owner, is a most genial host, He is a trained chef & our meals were excellent. The B& B is conveniently situated with nice views from the sitting & dining rooms. I would definitely recommend this B&B.

Was travelling to Scotland and stopped of in Penrith to break the journey and my boyfriend and I booked into Ashbank bed and breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and the views from the window were breathtaking. The breakfast was the best we have ever eaten in a B&B. We have booked a stay on our return journey home.... More

I book all of the three rooms 5 months in advance for two nights for 2, 2 and 1 persons. I was told the cost would be £75/£70/£45 x 2 = £380 as shown in the brochure. I inquired about discount as mentioned in the website and was advised I could have the package for £332. I paid £40 deposit... More

Arrived around 7pm after a six hour drive and Richard couldn't have been more helpful. Very comfortable en suite double with use of a separate lounge with TV, excellent breakfast. M6 is very close and noisy outside but not inside. Lovely views. Good price at £45 as the North Lakes Hotel, 4 minutes down the road is £100 more!

Well, from the quiet residential road it looks like a normal bungalow. Oh, but it isn't! Richard has remodelled the building so the back door is the entrance for guests - two exquisite ensuite rooms, everything you could want, and the most fantastic view to the south. The location is a bit unexpected - it's up the hill from Penrith,... More

Great B&B. Extremely friendly, great breakfast, top guy and highly recommended. Stayed for one night during my John O'Groats to Lands End ride all I needed was a comfy bed, safe storage for bike, hearty breakfast, hot water and a shower. Exceeded every requirement I had and then some! Located 5 minutes walk from Penzance centre, easy reach of a... More

I've stayed twice at this B&B after stayting in numerous hotels and B&B's in Penrith and local area and its the best I've stayed at. The rooms are airy, the morning breakfast great and I've tried many so called Cumbrian sausages (no pun intended) and this is the best I've had. The views from the breakfast room and garden are...
