The room was extremely clean and smart, we were impressed. Bed was comfy and both got a great few nights sleep. We liked the added touches like cotton wool/ear buds and straighteners. Shower was spacious and reasonably powerful but took a little while to get hot. We missed the bath after a long walk but that was the only negative... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Lakemere. We stayed in a large double at the top of the house and were delighted with what was on offer. Lots of attention to detail - wlaking books left in the room, good tea/coffee tray, hair dryer and HAIR STRAIGHTENERS!!!, cotton buds, etc. The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. Bed a... More

Received a warm ŵelcome from the friendly owners. Lovely decorated room, quiet, good thick curtains kept out any light when asleep. Key provided for your stay, so come in and out anytime during the day. Breakfast was top class and a great range of provisions from full English breakfast and cereals, juice, fruit, toast etc, etc. We fully recommend Lakemere... More

Spent just one night, but was made to feel very welcome. Definately a home from home. Room was lovely - modern, clean and comfy with en suit, and was certainly as good as more expensive guest houses Ive stayed in before. Situated close to the town but in a quiet side street, not overlooked and ideally situated for for everything... More

I stayed here for a winter break in Keswick with my husband and two young children. We stayed in a family room which was very spacious and comfortable. The owners were very welcoming and suggested some great places to visit, eg Puzzling Place and keswick climbing wall. Would definitely recommend to others and have booked another week stay in the... My partner and I visited Keswick for a weekend break in November and looked at several bed & breakfast establishments on the internet before selecting the Lakemere. There were lots to choose from and we selected the Lake Mere as we liked the look of the rooms, however on arrival, we were disappointed that the photos on the website were... More

My husband and I had decided to go for a short break over Easter and I searched the internet and discovered this lovely little retreat just a few minutes walk from Keswick town centre and Fitz Park. It is only a short drive to Grasmere, Aira Force and Watendlath for those who want to see some wonderful sights without the... More

This b&b is only 3-4 minutes flat walk from Keswick town centre, and we booked for this reason, and the fact that they do not allow dogs (I am allergic). Unfortunately, the reason they don't allow dogs is because they have their own dogs on the premises, and therefore I had a very uncomfortable weekend. However, you live and learn,... More

This guest house is very cosy and run by a lovely friendly couple. We booked the family room which was very spacious for 2 adults and 2 children to move about in. The house is 2 mins walk away from keswick town and is very close to Fitz park which is great for kids. We enjoyed our 2 nights in... More
