I have just realised that after four years of staying here. I have not written a review! This is a great place to stay as a base for walking in North of the Lakes, though of course everywhere is no more than an hour away. The welcome is friendly. the couple that own the Guest House try really hard to... More

In the last 6 months 4 generations of our family have stayed here. One apartment has a level entrance from the car park so was ideal for our older members. The apartments are both warm, comfortable and well equipped. My only quibble would be a couple more serving size dishes in the kitchen. Andrew and Diane are helpful and informative.... More

Hidden away from the central town of Keswick yet SO close. We had the apartment which housed 5 of us and was absolutely perfect. Consisted of a living room, large kitchen and two en-suite rooms. One room had a double bed and the other had one double and one single. The view from the double bed room was beautiful as... More

This is a first class B&B. Seven hikers stayed for 2 nights and found the hotel to be warm, very clean and within walking distance of Keswick. The rooms were very well appointed and were all en-suite and very comfortable. The owners, Diane and Andrew, were extremely pleasant and helpful throughout the stay. The breakfasts were wonderful with a choice... More

This is an exemplary B & B tucked away just off the A66 at Keswick, a very relaxing place to stay, wether you are visiting the theatre at Keswick, or walking the fells. Diane and Andrew are very welcoming, thoughtful hosts, who go out of their way to be helpful. The rooms are clean and bright with lovely soft white towels,... More

Two girlfriends and i were touring the Lake District and Scotland and we were very fortunate to have found Skiddaw Grove on the net. Diane & Andrew are the perfect hosts and fed us enormous, delicious English breakfasts that were a joy to tuck into. The heated pool and back terrace garden were very welcoming, but unfortunately none of us... More

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 2 children aged 11 and 8, and we had a lovely family room with a double bed, single bed and camp bed. The room was lovely and clean, spacious, with a tv/DVD player, plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits which were well stocked each day. We also had the added... More

The highlight of the Skiddaw Grove is the heated outdoor pool, which was pleasantly warm even in the poor summer of 2012; a great way to cool off and loosen those muscles after a day on the fells. Andrew Matthews is a great host at breakfast giving good advice about the weather and routes and dispensing a great cooked breakfast.... More

Fantastic stay, lovely clean rooms, fantastic views and to top it off a lovely pool to cool off in after a long day on the fells. Hosts Andrew and Diane very welcoming with a pot of tea on arrival.
