Just had a short break at Ferndene and had a lovely time.Very clean and tastefully decorated. We were only a short stroll from the centre of Keswick. Parking was easy and and the area was quiet. Stayed in a twin room in the annexe which was a little cramped and short on storage space. Breakfast was excellent as was the... More

Having stayed at Ferndene previously and loved it both times, we decided to visit as part of our Honeymoon. As ever our experience was brilliant and we enjoyed every minute. We felt welcome, relaxed and at home from the very minute we arrived. Christine and Richard are brilliant hosts, offering insider, local advice on where to visit, the best way to... More

Stayed at this b&b for 2 nights in Sept last year. Had a lovely modern room in the annexe, the bathroom was particularly lovely and the huge shower was gorgeous. The owners were very friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The breakfasts were delicious too! I can't remember exactly how much our 2 night stay cost us, however, I do... More

A group of us from the age of 18 to 50 stayed at the Ferndene guest house in Keswick, for a weekend in April, to celebrate two 50th birthdays. We found that this was one of the closest to the town within easy walking distance which took only a few minutes, and was also one of the cheapest, yet still... More

This B&B is just a 5 minute stroll from the Moot Hall and situated in a quieter part of town. Both Christine and Richard were both approachable and helpful in any query or request put to them. This made for a relaxing break. The room we had was on the small side but never-the-less was well maintained and served our... More

My daughter and I had the privilege of traveling to England last summer. It's been a lifelong dream to visit the Lake District and so when the airline tickets had been purchased, I began researching where we should stay when we traveled north of London. We selected Keswick as the village we would stay in and then I began looking... More

We booked 3 night suite package for £276 (£92 p.n) The suite is quite small but you have fabulous views from both sides and its nice to have a separate TV room as there is no designated area in the guest house where you can sit or meet Full English breakfast is as good as it gets, Everything there, tasty... We pride ourselves in running a relaxed and friendly guest house where we do everything we can to accommodate our guests and hopefully our other reviews indicate that this is indeed the case. All that we require from our guests in return is a minimum of common sense and consideration, particularly regarding parking. We have a parking space available for... More
