Had a brief but very nice stay with David and Sarah. The house is situated right where you want to be in Hawkshead (2 minutes from the centre). The building feels proper and grand but not like a stately home and the rooms (ours, anyway) are spacious, tidy and comfortable. I'm fully intending to return. More

Visited the lovely village of Hawkeshead in September of last year. Found this national trust property which is now a delightful B&B with a typical country garden - fresh, welcoming and quiet with a delicious afternoon tea served to boot! Sublime. More
