Just had another (the fourth) weekend here with our walking group. Nice quiet location, helpful staff, large well-eqipped bedrooms, large comfortable lounges. Stayed with a group of friends. Lovely location, friendly staff and comfortable. Rooms not luxurious but adequate and clean. Lovely log fire in reception area and bar and lounge great for a large group. Dinner menu was different on both evenings we stayed and excellent choices and very well cooked. Waiting staff were helpful and cheery. Breakfast excellent.

My wife and I were part of the annual review group mentioned by "burtoncle" previously. The food could not be faulted. My favorite dish on a previous visit was lamb shank which was food to die for. We visited the Talbot bar again recently and there was a marked improvement in the quality of food and service since our last visit realier in the year. There obviously been an effort to improve things.
