Just stayed at the Drunken Duck and had a fabulous time. I am already planning a return trip. The room was not particularly large but very comfortable and spotlessly clean .The food was delicious, there was a great atmosphere in the bar and the staff were excellent.

Ate at the restaurant on a rainy Thursday night and the place was buzzing! Food was excellent, staff were great. The scallop were particularly excellent! Not cheap but certainly not expensive compared to other local places. Will return!

We weren't able to get reservations for dinner, but we stop by for a memorable lunch at the Drunken Duck. The food was very good and the out of the way atmosphere, made this a trip to remember. Would recommend you add this to your next trip to the Lake District...it will help make your trip enjoyable!

Food - terrible. Had the pigeon - raw!!!! Duck, breast undercooked and chewy, confit leg nearly burned... Not enough light for dining and no music...no atmosphere whatsoever... Rude waitress, didn't accept polite criticism (which she asked for). Won't go there ever again.

We stopped here from lunch following a long walk. The atmosphere is great with a lovely welcoming fire and friendly staff. We only had sandwiches but they were great and served efficiently. We stayed in room 15 for 2 nights. Accommodation was top class. Very clean, good sized rooms. No noise whatsoever apart from the ducks and lambs in the morning! Very tranquil setting.
