We were looking forward to child friendly and quiet retreat away from the normal busy tourist areas, and that's exactly what we got. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable and a home from home. Stayed in Woodhow Tarn Lodge. Very quiet and peaceful. Plenty of walks nearby. Our first visit was in 2009 and we have just returned from our 2012 trip. Windermere and Ambleside are both close. Your also not far from Keswick and Grizedale. We will return again.
