We stayed at The Duke William in Ickham for one night. Everything was superb: from the bottle of Puglian wine served in front of the open log fire, to the lovely dinner, to the clean and well-presented bedroom and the great freshly cooked breakfast the morning after. Atmosphere, great food and the idyllic countryside location close to the attractions of... More

My partner and I stayed one night for my birthday. We were welcomed as soon as we entered and shown straight to our room, which was very well presented and clean. The Landlords are so lovely! We didn't have to wait long to be served at the bar, and had a delicious breakfast the following morning. The pub felt very... More

Once again we stayed here, our 6th visit but we have to say this time was by far the best. With the relaxing open fire blazing away we could unwind reading the papers and having a drink after a lovely day in Canterbury and Sandwich. The new young landlords could not be more helpful or friendly they are working very... More

Stayed 2 nights at end of November for my wife's birthday ,the village is lovely and the pub quiet welcoming, the food was very good but attention to detail lacking. As stated we were staying for my wife's birthday and I asked the owner on Sat morning if my wife's dessert at dinner could be decorated with birthday sparklers and... More

My husband and I stayed at the Duke William for one night as we were attending a wedding. The staff were incredibly accommodating and understanding. They allowed us to check in early so that we could get ready for the wedding. They booked us taxis when we asked, were very understanding when we raced out the door 20 minutes later... More

We spent two nights at this pub, there was a good choice of food and the accommodation was nice and comfortable. Our room was above the bar and to be honest we could hear people talking downstairs, but it wasnt a problem to us as we are night owls and were the last people to go to bed. Make sure... More

I stumbled across this little pub by accident while visiting my parents in the countryside. From the moment we walked in the door, we were met with such an abundance of hospitality. They were so friendly and welcoming, The food was absolutely incredible, we ordered the steak and ale pie, and the fish and chips. Both were delightful. I would... More

It is a great little B&B located in a small town outside of Canterbury. The rooms are a great size, and the shower is just AWESOME!!! Good value for money. Did not have dinner here, but the breakfasts are just wonderful, and the people are just lovely and welcoming. Can be a bit noisy with music from the restaurant filtering... More
