Good location to walk around Winchester but also drive around Hampshire. Easy to find, park, walk to station or Cathedral. We stayed for a romantic weekend. The hotel is lovely with very nicely appointed bedrooms (we had the one up from basic). The staff were helpful and friendly. We dined there on one night and the food was very good if a little pricey, our bar bill was somewhat of a shock! Excellent location for exploring Winchester.

What a building, What a position. Fantastic public rooms, dining room, bar & bedrooms. Good parking. Right in the center of town. They need to get a grip on the food which is just not 'up to speed'.
