This is a very 'basic' hotel and very tired. I've stayed here several times because of family nearby but not again. The whole place smells strongly of mold, and the disinfectant they use liberally to cover the mold smell (total fail). The floors are very uneven, not something I'd normally notice, but there was a mushy hole in the bathroom... More

Travel lodge, basic, clean and cheap. Certainly good value for money. Receptionist was very welcoming. The 2nd family bed was missing for the room but quickly addressed and they threw in 4 buffet breakfast packs to make up for it. Not too sure about the Toby next door, mingy portion, veg and gravy self service not kept topped up and... More

Stayed her for 2 nights in December after returning from France. Due to bad weather and rough crossing arrived late but reception staff available and polite. Unfortunately the room was very tired. Large holes in the carpet, mould in the bathroom and lights with bulbs that did not work. Next day had a cold shower (no hot water in the... More

I stayed at this hotel last night and it was my first stay at a Travelodge. The Manageress, Janette was so friendly and extremely helpful. The room was well decorated and had all of the essentials in it. (Good bed, tea making facilites and a TV). I did need an ironing board which Janette organised really quickly for me. I... More

We stayed for two nights. Room was better than the average travelodge as it had some very nice features such as beams. The large flat screen tv was fab. The bed had a decent mattress on it. We had to ask where the pull out bed was and they soon bought us one to the room. The only bad part... More

Stayed at this hotel before catching the ferry to Spain. Clean and tidy and nice big room with large TV.Good value restaurant/pub adjacent, so ideal. We had an enjoyable meal on the evening which was good value for money! They only do a picnic style continental breakfast, so we went to one of the nearby cafes for a good breakfast before... More

A better than average Travelodge. I had a large room, flat screen tv with a full choice of Freeview channels and plenty of workspace to do my paperwork. The staff on reception were friendly and efficient. There is plenty of capacity in the car park even with a restaurant next door. The only negative comments are some of the grouting... More

Our room was fine - for what we had paid! Only complaints were the poor water pressure for loo and shower - told is was always like that due to ground level water tanks. So sort it management!! Also the shower safety grab rail was rusted through and we pointed out that if someone needed to grasp it they could... More

Just a one-night stay en route to the Cherbourg ferry, but for a cracking price we couldn't fault it. The room was good, clean, tidy and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was good too, and if anything could be faulted, the only thing I could think of would be the shower was a little lacking in power. The staff... More

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night ahead of a business meeting the following day. Stayed in room 104 right next to reception on the ground floor. Plenty of parking available although busy when the Toby Carvery next door is open. The rooms were clean although older than some Travelodge rooms we've stayed in, but perfectly serviceable. The bedding was... More
