If I start by making it known, I am not a lover of BB usually and prefer hotels, I was plesantly surprised at how welcoming the experience was and what a couple of great nights sleep we all had. Was a bit ricky to find initially, but it is in the "chestnuts" area of the high street. We had room... More

Recently back from a family break in the Cotswold's where we had an enjoyable stay at Chestnuts B&B. The Chestnuts is located in the heart of picturesque Bourton-on-the-Water and was an excellent base for our trip. There's no doubt that the hotel has plenty of character, being originally built in the 18th century, it made a nice change from the... More

The Chestnuts, we were told by the owner is over 300 years old, it is quaint and quirky with sloping floors and old beams, and a delight to stay there. The owners are most welcoming and gave us many ideas on where to visit on our trip, there is also car parking provided. We recently spent 3 nights in this... More

Spent 3 nights in a good-sized family room (room 5) with 2 full-sized singles and a double bed and plenty of space around them. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable and exactly what we needed as a base for our walking break. In spite of the arctic outside temperature (in early April!) the room was very cosy. The breakfast was... More

This B&B is great if you are looking for a central place to stay that offers clean, modest accommodation that will not break the bank. The Good: + The B&B is very central in the village, so you are literally mins away from everything. + Our room was clean and in good condition + There is a shared sitting room... More

Our stay at Chestnuts B&B was short but most enjoyable. Our room in the annex was spacious, very clean and welcoming. Our hosts were helpful, down-to-earth, but most of all, genuine. Lots of private parking and only an 5-8 minute walk from plenty of Shops, Pubs, Restaurants and Tourist Attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed the plentiful and scrumptious breakfast set in... More

Another visit to the Cotswold with another stay at The Chestnuts, and a lovely welcome from Jan & Bob, they feel more like friends than B&B owners. The rooms are quirky, mainly because of the age of the building, but they are really comfortable, & you couldn't wish for a better choice of food for breakfast. Its central position in... More

I've been in Bourton for the past 2 days and will be leaving by bus and train back to London. The stay was wonderful. The owners are a lovely couple who take pride in Chesnut B&B. You couldn't be in a better location in Bourton...just a block from the river directly in the center of the village. I'm in room... More

We stayed here for two nights in room 2 in the attic. The B and B is in a lovely location, it actually couldnt be better for shops, pubs, restaurants and the beautiful centre of the village. The owners were lovely, the accommodation was very quirky, a 300 year old listed building with all sorts of twists and turns. The... More
