I have stayed in Room 1 for one night, and whilst the Duke of Wellington seems quite nice to begin with, the cracks start to appear, the room was in need of a re-paint, it was a little tired round the edges and felt a little unloved, which in turn (of course) makes the customer feel unloved. I could hardly... More

Stayed 3 nights in room 2. May have been refurbished but needs refurbishing again. paintwork round windows, skirting boards and some walls are peeling and grubby. Room very small. Take your own hangers as there were only 6 between two of us and two of those were wired as you would get from the dry cleaners. View over the carpark... More

We fancied a bite to eat, so came to The Duke of Wellington. We arrived quite late, about half 8 and even though the kitchen closed at 9, we had one of the loveliest meals we've had in ages. I had the special, cooked by chef Josh, of the Chicken Breast and Black Pudding Stack, with a lovely sauce and... More

when we arrived the women who took us to our room was great and explained and shown us everything we need to know, the hotel itself was nice(bar a few cobwebs in the room) right on the river and i was very impressed! Then that changed..... i was half way through having a shower before dinner when a member of... More

we had a great stay at this hotel, they were very welcoming and the room was homely. Only slight criticism is that the double bed was actually 2 singles and you could feel the springs in the mattresses! Breakfast was very nice.

We like Bourton on the water and have meet some amazing people that have become friends. We took advantage of the cheap winter rates at the Duke of Wellington to spend a restfull weekend and see our friends. We were well received and taken to our room to settle in. The room, beautifully refurbed was on the 2nd floor so... More

Our evening meal was delicious, huge portions of food and very reasonably priced too. The breakfast was excellent too. The staff were all extremely friendly and very welcoming. We will most... More

Didn't stay here but had lunch and had such a warm welcome we returned for the locals quiz night. Very tasty food and good VFM. The staff made it for us, very welcoming and even offered to reserve a table for the 8 of us for the Sunday quiz (even though we weren't eating). Would recommend. :)
