We stayed here in a 15 bed dorm for a hen party night. It is what it is to be fair, it was pretty cheap and we had a bed to crash on. Only complaint was the cleanliness. I was on a bottom bunk and when I got into bed I found an old sock and a half eaten chicken... More

Nothing more, nothing less. Bit of a mix up when I first arrived - I was allocated a bed that was already in use, but this was soon resolved. Only complaints would be that the room was very hot and stuffy during the night and the hiked up prices for new years, it would have been much better value for... More

ok if you just want basic accomodation with no frills. The bunk beds are better than most hostels with pull-blinds but make sure you identify the right one - they are numbered rather randomly which can cause confusion especially as they are triple bunks. Some noise at night and rooms are a bit stuffy but could be worse. Basic facilities... More

I spent one month at the journeys, and I really enjoyed my stay. The location is really great, good and free breakfast, clean room and bathrooms, and the staff is very friendly and helpfull. I've been in several hostels in Brighton and Hove, and for me that is the best in town and I would recommend it.

Decent triple bunk beds with curtains, lighting and plugs, and secure door access. Shared shower rooms were a bit strange (have to keep pressing a button every 10 seconds). Free breakfast. They restrict eating in rooms but is fine in their main foyer/lounge. Okay TV. Wash up after yourself. 10am leaving time. Windows were a bit hard to open. In... More

Spending one month in this hostel, we conclude that the atmosphere is very welcomed, the staff is nice and close to the guests. If we stay a long while, relationships can be created (we prefer the week than the week end). Nevertheless according to the rooms, there is not enough places for the luggages especially in rooms without shelves and... More

selfish staff and selfish guests....doors banging, suitcase zips zipping all night...the place needs a good scrub... stay there if your desperate...and saying that its not cheap either...i know there are rules and norms out there for stating in hostels..curfews, knowledgable staff, communal feels...i get it....this place doesn't have any hostel etiquette...

We stayed over the weekend for a stag party. checked into a 6 man dorm to be told we had to pay a £250 deposit incase of damage to the room. looking at the room i dont think you could do £250 worth of damage. room was small, beds uncomfortable, and we're very hot, even though it was raining all... Only stayed here for 3 days, very warm welcoming from the staff. Hostel was in a fantastic location with a good bar + outside seating (perfect for good weather) Staff were knowledgeable of the area and recommended some good places to go out.. Breakfast was ok, enough to cure my hangover for sure! wasn't too keen on the 3 bunk... More
