Stayed for my husbands birthday, great location but that was the only good thing. Fire alams went off on Saturday evening, all I can say was thank god there wasn't a real fire, evacuation procedure was unbeleveable, staff not communicating with any of guest In fact girl on reception was still checking guest in while alarm still sounding, everyone just... i read lots of reviews but thought that people were generally going over the top with their negative comments.....they weren't! our rooms weren't ready when we arrived & we had to wait for ages for the porter to put our bags in the luggage room. we ate fish & chips/ steak & chips for £4.50 in the bar (i had... Just returned from a 1 night stay at the Royal Albion. I was pleasantly surprise with this hotel after reading the reviews. We were stayed in a standard room (although you can upgrade for £10 pp however did not really see the point as we were only using it as somewhere to sleep). Room was clean (bedding was spotless and... More

A bit tired and tatty but a great spot on sea front. Hotel was very hot and no means of controlling room temp except opening the window! Short on towels and shower gel/shampoo but this was soon corrected by helpful staff. Buffet Breakfast was a bit of a bun fight with an extremely diverse and hungry customer mix. Six Sausages,... My husband, mother-in-law, brother-in-law and I stayed in this establishment for a 4 day break over the Christmas period - it was horrendous - to put it mildly. The hotel was unloved and chaotic, the restaurant and lounge were overcrowded making it difficult, especially for my mother-in-law (86) to cross the room and as a majority of the guests were... More

Loved this old hotel - she must have been something in her day - great location - amazing full English breakfast - 15 min walk to the trains - 30 seconds to the pier - right near The Lanes entrance - good fish and chip shop to the right of the hotel - rooms are clean but dated - great... More

With much trepidation, bearing in mind the reviews for this hotel on tripadvisor, we went to the Royal Albion for a Twix Christmas break and I have to say that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Yes the hotel could do with a lot of TLC, but our room, which I must admit was superior one, (314) had a wonderful outlook right... More

We booked this hotel because it was very cheap and in a good location. We only stayed for 2 nights, thank God! I was really considering not staying at all even if that would mean we lost our money. However, we opt to upgrade our room (for 20 pounds more) which was a mile better than our first room but... More

I stayed for one night on a trip to see Wrexham take on Brighton & Hove in an FA Cup 3rd Round match. The first impression I got was the location right next to Brighton Pier....WOW! You really can't get much closer to the action. I arrived a wee bit early for check in but they managed to find a... More

Stayed three nights midweek for £29 a night for 2. What can i say. For this price you simply cannot fault the place. Located right on the seafront opposite the Brighton Pier, you really don't need to go far to find something to do. Across the road is Harry Ramsdens Restaurant and a few bars, mainly gay ones but also... More
