We have been staying in Brighton now regularly as we have a daughter at the university and each time try a different hotel in the hope of finding something good. I happened to walk past Motel Schmotel whenI was staying at the Queensbury Hotel (not so good) in Regency Square.
It looked interesting from the outside and it is in...

Very friendly place to stay, clean and comfortable rooms, nice big bed in room 6 and nice touches like the penguin biscuits and good supply of coffee and tea. Really liked the grolsh style bottle of milk and water in the little fridge too. Good strong shower really wakes you up and the central heating made the room very cosy....

We stayed here for two nights in January and were so pleased we had booked at Motel Schmotel. It was a great little find. Paul and Amsy the proprietors couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. Our room although small was spotlessly clean with lots of little amenities including a small fridge with fresh milk and bottled water. The breakfast...

Stayed in room 2 on the ground floor which just about fitted a double bed in!
The en-suite was tiny with a sink that measured 1ft x 8inches and a shower that was 2ft square! Every time I cleaned my teeth my head kept banging into the overhead light and as I moved around the room I kept knocking the...

Dear Sir,
I don't know whether you are just singularly unlucky in your choice of hotels/ eateries or you just enjoy trashing small business's reputations but I note that in 5 previous Trip Advisor reviews you have scored two establishments with 1 out of 5 and a further three at 2 out of 5.
In view of the high standards...

It was the little personal touches that makes this place what it is. Everything from the text in the morning to ask when they could expect us to the nice friendly chat on arrival about our stay! We got the keys to the room and opened the door to a nicely decorated clean room with everything you needed in it!...

We stayed here last weekend and was pleasantly surprised! Rooms were clean and contemporary but maintained original features of the lovely quirky Regency property. Our room was slightly bijou but lovely - fresh flowers, coffee facilities, fridge and little "motel schmotel" sweets on the bed was a cute touch too!
Breakfast was served in the cheerful breakfast room which had plenty...

Stayed overnight last Saturday following a special birthday meal at nearby Havana. We live close by (20 ish minutes), but it was more than a terrific place to crash to save an expensive taxi ride home.
Other reviewers have said it all. Lovely welcome. Great room (#1), huge comfy bed, cosy warm duvet, crisp white linen. Small En suite. Good...

We stayed here on Sunday courtsey of groupon. We was pleasantly surprised a great little find. We had room 9 on the top floor, a giggle with all the stairs, The room was small but very well equiped everything you needed. The quirky little details to the room was fantastic, the little fridge with fresh milk and water in old...

We stayed here on Tuesday courtesy of Groupon. We come to Brighton regularly as our daughter is at uni here and normally stay in a "chain" hotel. This was my first ever stay in a "bed and breakfast" anywhere and I was not disappointed. We stayed in room number 3 which is very small but full of Brighton charm and...
