We spent a very enjoyable weekend at the Balmoral and were not really sure what to expect. Our room was surprisingly large and very comfortable. Our greeting was very pleasant and although we were too late for our cream tea we were promised it the following day. Promise delivered and a very nice cream tea indeed. We stayed on a... More

This was our first visit, but from the moment we stepped in we felt like part of the family. I was amazed at how many of the visitors come every year and made us feel so welcome as well as the staff. The food was excellent home made food with good choice. There was 8 of us and the service... More

This was our first stay at the Balmoral...it won't be the last! Situated only a 2 minute walk from the beach, the hotel isn't in the main part of Torquay but just around the headland on the eastern side of Torbay.....such a lovely spot! The hotel was very comfortable and although our room didn't have a sea view, the lounge... More

Stayed here quite a few times over the last four or five years. Just gets better and better. Food is excellent, rooms are comfortable and on our weekends, brilliant entertainment. We have even had lovely weather each time!

Our 2nd visit to the Hotel Balmoral to celebrate a family birthday. Many of the hotel guests are repeat customers like myself and my husband. We decided to pay the extra supplements for Room 5, which is a larger room with a bay window with views of the sea and gardens. The room does need updating (especially the bathroom), but... More

Just returned from our third visit, in seven months, to the Belmoral in Torquay. We had a very enjoyable break. Overall the hotel is impressive - lovely rooms and fantastic, friendly service from the staff - nothing is too much trouble for them. We brought Our nineteen year old daughter, who was on a break from university, on our last... More

We have been visiting the hotel Balmoral for the last 8 years and we always enjoy our stay there immensely. It’s in a great location, probably the best in Torquay, very close to Meadfoot Beach and has a lovely garden from where you can see the bay. The hotel itself is very homely, and has a quaint cosy atmosphere. It... More
