Very friendly and welcoming. We were a late booking - arriving late and leaving early. The bed was fantastic - nice and firm and the sheets were nice cotton. The room was very warm, due to the weather so we had to open the windows and turn off the heating. We are used to a colder climate. For those who... More

A quintessentially British b&b with all the old charm but updated decor. Ran by husband and wife who had lots of time for our family. Nice clean breakfast and for a good price. Make sure you ask for a room downstairs if you have trouble with stairs. More

The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are spotless. The breakfast is superb with a non-meat option. An added bonus is off-street parking. It was a really relaxing stay and we will be happy to return. More

Owners very friendly and helpful. Room spotlessly clean, very comforable bed with excelent bedding. Situation ideal for the Hoe, Barbican and town, a few minutes walk in every direction. Ideal to be able to park car off the road. More

We stayed here for one night to visit our daughter. The hotel is spotlessly clean and was lovely and warm. The room was very cosy and a lovely comfortable bed. Owners were exceptionally friendly and the breakfast was superb. Our only tiny complaint was that the shower was very small but we managed. There was also a small car park... More

This is the nicest B&B we have ever stayed in. When we arrived, we went to our room & it was so warm and welcoming. There wasnt a spot of dirt/dust to be seen anywhere and it has clearly been looked after/well maintained. The beds were very comfy, we had everything in the room we needed, and the bathroom looked... This was my second experience staying at a B & B in this area and it could not have been more different than my first. The room was exceptionally clean, the hosts very warm and helpful, and the breakfast was well beyond my expectations. The Caledonia House will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Plymouth. More

We arrived in the evening on Friday and was welcomed at the door by Dave. We had travelled from Nottingham to run the Plymouth Half and they even did us breakfast early on the Sunday morning so we could eat in time to digest our food before we ran. I found the family/management really friendly and welcoming. We are already... More

Had to come to Devon for an interview and found this place as a last resort as other B&Bs were fully booked. Drove past Birmingham from further north to reach Plymouth same day but could not travel further due to feeling ill on the way. Booking however was non refundable so lost money I could not afford to lose which... More
