We booked last minute for a local wedding and only considered it because there were no other central options left. We were very lucky. Rob was of great help, allowing us a late arrival at ten pm, helping carry our bags up and being very genuine in his welcome. The attic room was spotless and well presented giving us all... More

My husband and I enjoyed a restful night following a wedding we went to. Rob was really friendly and was wiling to offer lots of information on the local tourist sites. The room was clean, well decorated, had a comfortable bed and a powerful shower. The excellent full English breakfast was a perfect cure to too much bubbly the day... More

Within a short walk of the popular landmarks, the location is oustanding. Add a friendly welcome and spotless, quirky accommodation and it is difficult to fault this wonderful guest house. The only negative could be the limited parking, but it helps that restrictions are only in place from 10.a.m until 6.p.m.

Stayed here for two nights 7-8th June with my elderly parents in law. Rob was extremely helpful. Helped by offering to park his car on road to reserve a space for when we arrived on the Friday as parking is very difficult. need to request a resident parking permit for £2 which could allow all day parking if needed. much... Stayed just one night for a 1 day visit in Plymouth booking the two family rooms. Not plushly decorated but both rooms, including the ensuites, were spotlessly clean and newly devorated with a comfy double bed plus a single one in each and great value for money. Great central location and a good breakfast freshly cooked plus lots of help... More

I stayed here a night in May in the double bed loft room. The guy running the place is very nice and helpful and makes a mean breakfast! There is street parking available out the front (free in the evenings) and I was able to park my motorbike on the corner about 10 metres away. There are plenty of pubs... More

Rob and Sue went out of their way to take care of my dietry needs. My favorite dish being cooked mushrooms and goat cheese. Also I dont drink citris juices and Rob picked up pressed apple juice..place is clean and very comfortable. Invited me to hang out at the pub with all his friends including dinner out with them. Helped... More

Our 3 day 2 night stay in Plymouth was made all the more enjoyable by having booked into the Barbican Reach. We couldn't fault anything about the place. Our room was reasonably priced, clean, within walking distance of town, Barbican and The Hoe, and a breakfast to set you up for the day! Hosts Rob and Sue couldn't have been... More

I cannot recommend Barbican Reach highly enough. Rob and Sue are so friendly and welcoming, taking time to learn about you, offering support and advice to make your stay as fulfilled as it can possibly be, delivering an all round excellent customer service. Their rooms are bright, well equipped, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Location is ideal, with... More
