I have been studying part time in Plymouth for the last two years and have stayed in a number of different places. Early on here was one occasion when places were fully booked. I found a place (now closed down) only to discover it was dsireptuable and filthy. Alan and Lorraine came to rescue. This is now my favourite place... More

I used to come Plymouth a lot about 20 years ago when I had work at the Dockyard. I liked the Swinton because of it's welcoming atmosphere, lovely hosts, tea on arrival and an excellent breakfast. I'm pleased to say that none of the above has changed! Lorraine and Alan are excellent hosts and the hotel is comfortable. I wouldn't... More

We were booked into a B&B in Plymouth but there was a mix-up with another guest. The Swinton Hotel (Lorraine and Alan) were very accommodating and accepted us for the night even though they were officially closed for the weekend. The hotel was tastefully decorated and very clean, although the room and ensuite were small. Lorraine was a very friendly... More

Lovely place to stay. Alan and Lorraine are very friendly and gave me directions on where I had to go as well as recommending good places to eat. The room was lovely and clean and the breakfasts were excellent! Will definitely be staying here again for my next trip! More

Had a great time at the hotel. The owners immediately made us feel at home. Within minutes of arriving we where having a cup of tea and within an hour we where having a glass of wine with them. The hotel was very clean and great value for money and we would recommend it to anyone, Paul and Lin from... More

I would stay at this B and B anytime. The rooms are spacious, and while basic, are spotlessly clean. Most of all, Lorriane is the perfect owner, helpful and friendly, but not overly so. They seem to have the balance just right. Great value. More

This was my first trip abroad in nearly 20 years. Alan and Lorraine's place was my first stop visitng the hometown of my great grand-mother. They were so friendly and helpful! Truely a delightful place to arrive at after nearly 22 hours of traveling. I am going to Plymotuh again next year and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. I have... More
