Have stayed at the North Cliff Hotel several times and always feel so welcome. It's at a lovely location with amazing views and Lynton town and the cliff railway to the beach just outside the door. The food is generous and of a very good quality and the owner Kate and her staff go out of their way to make... More

In August, we had a long weekend at the Northcliff Hotel. When we originally booked the hotel, the pictures shown rooms with a sea view. Which really encouraged us to book the hotel, and gave us something to look forward to. When we got to the hotel, the staff were polite and the hotel was in the perfect location. Entering... More

We stayed here for just the one night the day after our wedding and had a brilliant time. Having had a busy day the day before it was the perfect retreat to relax and spend time together and Kate and her staff enabled us to do this. The location of this hotel is brilliant and the views are fantastic. We... More

We recently had two nights here and had a great time. It's nothing fancy but it's comfortable, inexpensive, and very very friendly. Kate was brilliant, lending us maps and even offering to give us a lift somewhere when we didn't want to drive. The breakfast was filling, the view from our room was amazing, and it's a great location -... More

Very welcoming. Spotlessly clean. Fantastic views and brilliant location - especially for a pre breakfast walk along coastal path to valley of the rocks. Thoroughly recommend this hotel - it certainly has character. great to get away from the standardised chain hotels to something individual and with character. More

We were attending a wedding in the village. The entire wedding party stayed at the hotel and the owner could not do enough to make us feel welcome. The rooms were spotless, breakfast was great and the views from the terrace are stunning. More

If you want a clean comfortable friendly hotel that can cope with dogs, children and muddy boots this hotel is for you. Sitting with a coffee outside the breakfast room taking in the breathtaking views of Lynton Bay a must. Things to do: superb walks along the coastal path, accessible directly from the hotel and go for a meal at... More

This hotel is excellent and ideal for a holiday in North Devon, especially if you want to enjoy the combination of the coast and beautiful woodlands of Watersmeet valley. The welcome is warm and friendly; breakfast generous and delicious; our room had the most wonderful view out over the Bristol Channel 500 feet below and along the coast; the room... More
