Stayed here for 1 night due mainly to its location to the rugby ground. Rooms are small but perfectly adequate. Noise from road did not disturb us at all. Breakfast in the morning was piping hot and plentiful. Just a suggestion but it would be nice to have an idea of the cost of breakfast or give room only or... More

Thank you for taking the time to review the Blue Ball. I was extremely concerned to read about the housekeeping issues and have spoken at length to the team regarding the importance of making sure each room is thoroughly cleaned. We keep our tariff affordable by offering room only with a breakfast option.. With regard to breakfast cost there should... More

The landlady is very pleasant and professional, classy looking too. The two lads behind the bar are great fun to have a laugh with and the food is faultless. I use this pub whenever I am in Exeter and it is 100% in my book. Great Sunday lunches too.

We stayed for one night whilst visiting Exeter for rugby, its is a 5 minute walk to the ground. Room 1 was very clean and had all we needed for the night, powerful shower, tea + coffee, comfy bed though only a double not king size. Even though this room is nearest the road there was no road noise at... More

Small room in annexe to The Inn. Next to large car park and fairly busy road, but very handy for the Motorway. Strangely you cannot book directly. Small bed and very thin pillows. Much to large a TV for the size of the room, still if TV really means that much to you. Very reasonably priced, although breakfast is extra.

We ate at the Blue Ball with friends after having a recommendation. The food was excellent, as was the lovely welcoming atmosphere that the managers Steve and Sandra created - we will certainly be back soon and would recommend the Blue Ball to anyone who enjoys good freshly prepared food with a friendly welcoming management and staff.

I have eaten here three times over the past 6 months. Each time the food has been good, but we have had to wait ages for its arrival. I'm sure the response will be that all food is freshly prepared, but I really can't afford to wait for 50 minutes for a pub meal at lunchtime!

We ate at the blue ball last month for my wifes birthday, we were greated by a charming well spoken young man and shown to our table, the pub was very busy but the waiter gave us his full attention until we were settled at our table with drinks and food menus.( very impressed). The food was excellent and the... More

We stayed for one night only on our way to the coast. The pub is great, the staff really good, the beer even better. The room was basic but clean and warm and had everything you needed. We arrived early so spent a few hours in Topsham, 10 minutes drive, it was worth a visit but very pricey. Breakfast was... More

We went here last night for my husband's birthday and booked a table 3 weeks ago. We arrived to find that they hadn't reserved a table - likely there was a table for 6. An order was taken for drinks but the waitress didn't know what red wines were available. We had to wait ages to be asked for our... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our Inn. I have discussed all the topics you mentioned with the relevant staff. Firstly may I apologise for the confusion regarding your booking which was omitted when transferred onto our table allocation.
