We stayed in The Barrowfield in February this year with out two young sons and were very happy with the hotel and service, however when we returned during August this year it was a different story. Our room was very small with little storage space and with a three year old and a small baby this was very difficult. The... more

We enjoyed our stay, very helpful staff. its only failings were the quality of the food, my friends mother-in-law had cauliflower cheese for her evening meal, we had never seen anything more disgusting. Dissapointed with the bar opening times 6pm - 11pm more

This hotel is great value for money, if you travel with Daishs holidays by coach or self drive it's around £200 each with dinner included and all facilitates. The room was ok but the only wrong things are the rooms are too hot and the tv are ancient. The entertainment was very good eg Gary K www.Gary-k.com there is bingo... more

staff friendly, good food, rooms are clean but TV needs updating and the bar area in the ballroom needs repositioning. Children made to feel welcome with choice of menu. Travelled by coach with good comfort stops on outward journey. Very good value for money, would recommend to anyone wanting a short break in Newquay. more

The holiday was better than we expected with great staff and good entertainment. Yes it`s geared for the older generation but we still enjoyed the hotel and the food ! [though it has to be said that the veg was a bit poor, but the meat made up for it] . The beaches are great but avoid the town centre... more

It makes me laugh when people attack hotels like Daishes. I have travelled with this group 6 0r 7 times now. Of course the hotels are not perfect and the food may not be to everyones taste. But if you want a clean, friendly decent hotel, with more than affordable prices then this is it. I love the food personally... more

If you do not like this type of holiday, then you should stop in a bed and breakfast which will cost a lot more than travelling with daish's. We have been with Daish's on a number of occations, to their other hotels as well, and we find that the Barrowfields is by far the best value. So what did we... more

Three family friends and myself took a holiday with Daish's in March 2010. This was our first time with Daish's, and as I had been quite poorly for the last year and we all needed a break, we decided to go to the Barrowfield as it had been recommended. My friend and I shared a twin room, and my sister... more
