Cotton Farm was a wonderfully relaxing place to stay on the outskirts of busy Chester. Our double room was beautifully appointed with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable & memorable. Of particular note was the very comfortable bed & the delicious breakfast. Clare is an excellent hostess & we highly recommend her lovely farmhouse.

My partner and I visited cotton farm for a relaxing break and Cotton Farm was the perfect place for this. We stayed in the garden room which had a lovely view of the garden. The room and bathroom was very spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and also had an electric blanket which was nice as it was... More

Cotton Farm with its warm welcome, attentive and friendly hosts, is not only outstanding but also value for money. So it was just the right calm and relaxing setting after a roller coaster day of each way bets at Chester Races and an antidote to intensive business discussions over the race card. The bedroom was extremely comfortable and spacious and... More

Unfortunately only stayed for one night while visiting Carfest. Warm welcome from the owner, great countryside location just a short drive from Chester, stayed in a lovely large double room with very comfy bed, tea/coffee making facilities, immaculate large ensuite, exellent and beautifully presented breakfast with options for every taste. Plenty of helpfull advice from the owner on local walks... More

We stayed at the beautiful Cotton Farm for one night over the bank holiday weekend as we had decided on a last minute break away. It was booked with ease via their website where a deposit was taken for the room. The location is great if you want to be close to Chester but still enjoy the peace and quiet... More

Such an amazing little B & B in Chester, not in the centre but only 10 minutes away. The great zoo is 20 minutes drive. The delightful owners really care about your stay and that everything is perfect. We took over all 3 rooms, which was very convenient. The breakfast menu was really lovely as well as the additional fruit,... More

This was the 2nd time we have stopped at Cotton Fam, and once again we had a wonderful stay. We received a warm welcome on arrival, and shown to the room that we had chosen - the garden room. Our room was clean and very spacious with a good selection of drinks available in the room - including a small... More

We decided to have a last minute break away to visit Chester, and wanted to find a place to stay that was 'out of town'. Looking at the reviews on tripadvisor, we picked out Cotton Farm and it was everything we had hoped for. To sum it up in a nutshell, if you are looking for a peaceful tranquil retreat,... More

We found this B&B by accident (as another cottage we had originally booked into the owner was out to tea and forgotten about our arrival - no more about that). We stumbled down cotton lane following the B&B signs on the trees and thank our lucky stars that the other venue messed up. We were immediately welcomed and settled into... More

My wife and I have just got back from a short (4 day) break visiting Chester and birdwatching on the Dee Estuary. Our stay at Cotton Farm was an absolute delight. It is located down a very quiet lane surrounded by pastures, yet is just 2 or 3 miles from an excellent Park and Ride system for Chester and close... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Cotton Farm is a wonderful farmhouse bed and breakfast close to Chester, with gorgeous large rooms, set in peaceful countryside down a quiet lane. We have a 4-star grading from Enjoy England. Cotton Farm is just 4 miles from Chester, and easily reached by car or taxi.Cotton Farm is something of a hideaway bed and breakfast - we are one of Alistair Sawday's special places to stay. We have three spacious bedrooms, all stylishly decorated and comfortably furnished. The gardens are in the classic English style, with resident hens and greater spotted woodpecker. The Guest Bedrooms are in the original part of the farmhouse, which is at one end of the building - making them very quiet and rather self-contained.The fields around the farm are full of wildlife, and there are riverside walks through wildflower meadows over ancient packhorse bridges. ... more   less
