We have stayed in this hotel twice now and it's fabulous. The staff, food and accommodation is second to none. So handy to the train station especially if you want to travel into Liverpool. The grounds of the hotel are lavishly decorated with pieces from the museum, which is a plus for photos for any occasion. More

Booked a two night break and have only good things to say about the hotel and staff. We were upgraded on arrival and the room was fantastic, warm and clean and very well laid out. The restuarant was great and we were greeted at breakfast with bucks fizz (not the group, that would have been ridiculous) :o) The choice of... More

On a UK trip with Insight tours, we were booked in to the Queen Hotel, Chester. We must have had the worst room in the place, Room 108. It was at the end of a long corridor and a reasonable size room. Floor uneven and squeaked, 3 of the lights in the room did not work so maintenance came up... More

My husband booked this hotel as an anniversary surprise at the weekend. He was very concerned when he later saw some less than flattering reviews; so much so, he called the hotel to make them aware of the special occasion and that "nothing can go wrong". I can truly say that it was a wonderful stay. Our room was in... More

The hotel is beautiful, it is well designed and there is a definite feeling of luxury throughout. My room was in the Kings Quarters which is a little walk through the corridors but it was nice as I got to see where the bar and restaurants were along the way. The only problem with the Kings Quarters is that there... More

Stayed one night in the Premier Queen Hotel for a brief first visit to Chester and were very impressed by the smart, well-appointed room in the 'Kings Quarter' extension. The room was smallish but very clean and comfortable. Staff were very efficient and helpful e.g. kettle was not in the room on arrival but one was quickly provided by Brett... More

Wow, after such a bad experience at another hotel in Chester, where we stayed for 30 mins, this is what we came away for. Rang the hotel to check for rooms, very helpful on the telephone. Got to the hotel, walked through the doors, taken a back by the decor and the atmosphere. Greeted by a very friendly man at... More

Sensational stay. Probably the best hotel I have stayed in for 20 years. Started with free complementary upgrade to the Kings apartments, a practice more hotels should adopt when they have empty rooms. Then the maitre d' was very knowledgable about my diet (gluten-free), pointing out what dishes I could and could not have. On top of this the concierge... More

There are secuity problems at this hotel. The doors don't shut properly and there are thieves roaming the corridors checking to see if any doors are open. I had my purse and mobile phone taken. The hotel staff are aware of the problem but refuse to warn guests - bad for publicity! You need to double-check that the door has... More

Dear Mrs. O'Hanlon, Thank you for your review. I am sorry you believe you had possessions stolen from your room. We take security issues very seriously at the Queen and have fully investigated your claim. As part of our recent £20 million refurbishment, we installed a computerized 'state of the art' door security system. Using this, we have checked the... More
