We were lucky enough to spend 4 nights here while we attended a wedding at nearby Peckforton Castle. The owners, Rose and Roy, were the friendliest people we have met at a B and B. We stayed in the detached barn room which had a massive bed, ensuite and it's own cosy lounge with wood burner. Fluffy white towels and... More

What a wonderful B&B, in the most idylic setting with excellent hosts Roy and Rose. It was a pleasure to stay at their beautiful home and to have met them; they dont feel like strangers now and we look forward to returning again soon. The self contained superior king suite offered a clean environment, comfortable (and huge!) bed and cosy... More

I have just returned from a two day stay with a friend at Cheshire Cheese Cottage, this is my second visit and I wasn't disappointed. The room we had with adjoining lounge was really lovely. The welcome was really warm. Roy & Rose are excellent hosts. The breakfast in the morning was really good, fresh fruit first, then a very... More

Roy and Rose, what wonderful hosts and lovely warm people. We stayed here Sept 2011 for one night and so wished it was for longer. We had the executive suite which was clean and comfortable and all the amenities you could want, including a couple of quirky chairs courtesy of Roy. The views are astounding. Rose recommended the Pheasant for... More

We stayed a couple of weeks ago for a short three night break and found our hosts Roy & Rose to be genuinely nice people who run this spotlessly clean B & B. The beds are comfortable, the surrounding countryside is beautiful, the breakfast is excellent and their conversation fascinating. What more could you ask for? We would highly recommend. More

My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant weekend at Cheshire Cheese Cottage. We stayed in the Barn - a lovely detached out building containing a bedroom with seriously large and very comfortable double bed and separate lounge with beautiful views on the gardens and fields, sheep not too far away and rabbits too - such a change for us... Stayed here for one night whilst attending a wedding locally. The Cheshire Cheese is excellent in every way. Rooms actually consist of a bedroom with shower room plus a lounge, better than most hotels. Each room has private access from outside avoiding the feeling in some B&B's of wandering through the owner's house. Rose and Roy are the most hospitable... More
