Booked a cheap £15 room with my girlfriend for a meal out in the centre of Chester on a Monday night. Room very basic as expected. There was a very suspicious looking white powder on the cabinet by the window and a smell of sick/air freshener in the room (obviously from the weekend). We didn't plan on being in the... More

The Hotel was clean and everything was good. Comfy beds. It was conveniently situated and we could get around well even though I am disabled! Not far from all shops and and river walks. I loved the place. The staff were helpful and cooperative! We had enough space for all three of us. Thank You Travelodge! More

Having read reviews about this hotel being noisy at weekends, I can say that during the week, it is fine. I stayed for 3 nights and found it a perfect base for visiting my family and friends in the area. The hotel is convenient for the city centre on foot, but there isn't a hotel car park so for once,... Nice hotel in the centre of Chester, close to shops and river walks, hotel was clean, and comfortable, with a friendly staff. Only problem is lack of a car park, but if you use the ncp car park across the road, you get a 20% discount. Great location if you come in by train, station appears to be a distance... More

This Travelodge is great for breaks to Chester. It's location is literally 5 minutes from the main street in the town and is right opposite the main park. I cannot comment on parking around the hotel as I went via train. However the hotel is also a short 10 minute walk from the train station and is very easy to... More

I stayed in this hotel for one night on 6th December at £10 a room which we'd booked some months before in the Travelodge sale. I suppose in this sense our expectations were quite low, but it was cheap and ideal to 'hit the sales' after Christmas. Location wise, you really couldn't get better, right, smack bang in the middle... More

We stayed here for 3 nights just after Christmas. The room was basic but what you'd expect. Bed was quite soft, but ok. You have to ask for a hair dryer if you need one, from reception, but this isn't a big deal. Best thing about the hotel is the location. Right in the town, with restaurants and places to... More

Went on 14th December for 3 nights. Reception was friendly and welcoming. Although hardly saw anyone after that. Room was clean and fresh. Only problem was the difficulty in using the heating system which was noisy so turned it off but couldn't get it back on again until the day we went home. Also a fire alarm is situated on... More

We have stayed here before and had reasonable service, however this time it was poor. You cant check in untill 15:00 which is fare enough so having stood waiting to check in behind 5 other people, after my parter had dropped me off with the luggage to go find a parking space , i was given a room. When I... More

Having stayed in many 'budget' hotels over the years I had an idea of what I should and shouldn't expect, but I must say that it was one of the more disappointing stays. Firstly, having arrived at the hotel but not knowing where to park we went to the reception desk to be told to ring a bell for assistance.... More
