My husband and I stayed one night in this hotel. After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor we were a little worried, we need not have been!! Really some people are so petty!!!! It is usual for check in to be 3pm and to check in early you would expect to pay an additional fee. As for 2 beds pushed... More

Hotel location convenient for the purpose. Arrived early for check-in and Reception staff were not flexible even though it was clear that many rooms would already be clear well before 1330 which was best time offered - their right of course but not a good service feeling. Breakfast following morning was badly organised - having one person to greet and... More

I stayed for just one night at the end of January, on my own. I had a large double room, with a very large comfortable bed, flat screen tv, large wardrobe and plenty of drawers, and a dressing table. The only negative was the windows appeared to be single glazed, which let a lot of outdoor noise through, however, this... More

A great spot off Parker's Piece and stunning views over the park. Rooms are a bit careworn and kingsized bed was two singles pushed together with a duvet holding them together. We aere in a party of four. One of us had a suite which was better. More

MY husband and I only stayed 1 night, but we had a huge room with a kingsize bed, we had a good range of beverages, plus a bottle of mineral water and a bowl of fresh fruit. There were slippers and robes in the room too. The room was very clean and the staff were very good too, we had... More

The outstanding thing for me was the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff, well done and thank you. Our room was upgraded to keep us away from a noisy group who were staying there, we didn't ask so thank you. The rooms and some of the public areas need some refurbishing but our room was spotlessly clean. The beds... More

My experience went as follows, 20 minute wait at check in with only one receptionists working and only one customer ahead of me. My room on arrival is freezing due to all the windows being left open and the heater not only off but unplugged from the wall. I cannot get the heater to work so I call maintenance to... More

My first experience here, having stayed in several other Cambridge venues. It was a pleasant surprise. Yes, there’s a sense of decaying grandeur: peeling window frames; hairline crack in the bathroom sink; central heating a bit noisy; ill-fitting curtains, so a challenge to organise how to keep the light out early in the morning. But the room was comfortable, the... More

Stayed here before and i had to change rooms again!! The first room they give me the lighting was so dim, but they changed my room for me. The rooms are starting to look run down and need some improvements making. From outside it's a gorgeous hotel. Normally I eat in the bar here, as you used to be able... More

Very keen to book this hotel because of it's position despite reading the reviews. Armed with some pointers gleaned from other guests I rang to make an enquiry, of course this goes to central reservations who can give you rates but not specific room details but "they can request" why do hotels still do this. If you contact the hotel... More
