Beautiful pub, the website doesn't do it justice! The room we stayed in was fantastic, much larger than we were expecting and excellent facilities. Food was also brilliant, both breakfast and a three course dinner were included in the stay and were delicious! Service was very friendly and of top quality, plus there is a large car park and amazing... More

The title says it all really. Just come back from the hunters rest and it was a really great stay. We spent the Saturday in Bristol, not too impressed, but went to wells on the Sunday and would definitely recommend as it is only a 20 minute drive from the inn. The bar staff were really friendly and charged everything... More

Stayed here for one night in room 1 while working in Bristol. This realy is a wonderful, querky little country retreat, I loved my stay and was only dissapointed that I had to move on the next day. My room was a good size with onsuit bathroom ( but no shower which forced me to have nice warm bubble bath... More

Booked a 3 night stay for a romantic weekend away. GREAT location- the actually pub is down a windey country lane (feels like your in the middle of nowhere surrounded by country fields- but in reality only 20mins from Bristol city centre and 40-60mins from Bath- was perfect. (would recommend using sat nav to find the place though especially if... More

Wow, this really is a little gem of a place. Nestled away down a lovely quite country lane with magnificent views across the valley. We stayed in room 1 which is finished in lovely yellow and black decor, quality furnishings with a great Victorian roll top bath. Felt more like a home than an hotel room. Restaurant service was spot... More

We stayed here for a friend's wedding in the locality. Room was comfortable, clean and had a large bathroom with excellent power shower and separate bath tub. Was perhaps a bit modern for the style of the inn, but the bed was very comfortable nonetheless. The food in the pub downstairs was also good. The service from the staff however... More

If I had to take an alien to an English country pub, this would be it. We arrived on a bustling Saturday afternoon where a local pheasant shoot had taken over the snug bar, they happily moved aside so we could be shown to our room, which was a stunning four-poster suite, with a little living room, a Victorian bathroom... Just got back from a one night stay at the Hunters Rest Inn. Stayed in Room 3 and although spacious and clean, not worth the £120 price tag. Ugly steel double bed (surely most establishments these days provide kingsize beds??), blinds that don't quite fit the windows and a tiny LCD TV - considering the generous size of this room,... More

I am sorry that sw1369 did not enjoy their stay in room 3. We designed this room as a contemporary four-poster suite; the stainless steel bed with leather headboard and muslin drapes is an integral part of the design. It is a standard double as this is the only size that it is manufactured in. The blinds are designed to... More

Inn was in a lovely location, tucked away amidst the rolling hills and country lanes. Room (3) excellent - spotlessly clean, very spacious, and a sitting area - in fact everything we wanted for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Breakfast very good (always served with a welcome and lovely smile) and evening menus in bar excellent. Although bar was crowded during... More
