My first thought of the hotel was the busy and dangerous road outside and the nearby school as these worried me that it was going to be noisy, this turned out to be true.
The room that I stayed in was in need of a refurbishment as it looked old.
The breakfast was average (I had bacon, sausage and mushrooms)....

We stayed at the Jays and travelled into Newport, the train link was superb and on a night out we went into Bristol again no real distance from the guest house. The people who run the guest house were some of the nicest people I have met. Would recomnded this guest house for anything.
Can't say enough good about this place. Jenny and Alan, the owners, run it like a dream. Alan cooks the best eggs, bacon, toast, sausage, beans and mushrooms you've ever put in your mouth every morning and Jenny serves in the lovely dining room. They are both incredibly courteous and helpful, and Jenny is really funny! She asks and remembers...
