Lovely old house, warm welcome on a bitter day. Bedroom nice but compact. Bathroom in need of a lick of paint, but ok. The bed was very comfortable, we had a great nights sleep. I stayed at the Downs Edge for one night recently for a course near by. The good points - place is very welcoming, friendly. Very relaxing stay with a good nights peaceful sleep. I have never stayed at such a nice hotel - the customer service is excellent and I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay in Bristol to go to Downs Edge. I hope I get a chance to stay again in the future - a rare gem in Bristol.

I had the delight of staying here for 2 nights. The couple who own and run the hotel, are truly a wonderful couple, and so welcoming. The breakfasts are out of this world!
