As seasoned youth hostellers we would like to recommend Bristol for its location, its chilled out relaxing bar/lounge and the make your own pizzas which are available all day. It was also very good value for money.

The Bristol YHA is great, has amazing views of the harbor and easy access to the Arnolfini (next door) and the pubs on King Street (the Old Duke has great jazz and the Apple has great scrumpy cider). Excellent place if you just want somewhere to sleep for the night. Don't be put of by the fact it's called a hostel, it's very modern, very cheap and is situated 30 seconds from the best bars!!

They were soooo helpful. I came with a group and nearly got stuck because of the spewing volcano in Iceland.
