We stayed for 4 nights for a city break. Good: walking distance to temple meads train station, 10 -15 minutes walk to city centre shops/food etc, friendly staff, room was large, comfy bed, pillow options firm or soft, tea coffee in room, breakky included (cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, toast, hot drinks, juices so hot food options too) , modern decor,... Stayed for one night and booked this hotel because it was a bed for the night and I was continuing my onward journey next morning by rail. Hotel across from station - which incidentally was designed by Kingdom Brunel and is spectacular. Hotel does look like a multi storey car park and is not attractive in the slightest. Very basic,... This hotel has clearly seen some heavy action. As such, it's not an exceptional Holiday Inn Express. It is slightly shabby. Roadside rooms suffer from traffic noise. That said, the hotel is very well located for rail connections, Temple Meads staion is seconds away. Drivers should note that the car park has been made very secure. This is a good... More

Reading all of the negative reviews here, I am very surprised- I had a great experience. After flying overnight, seeing that the hotel was directly across the street from where the airport bus stopped was such a relief. I arrived in the morning, and the staff let me store my luggage for the day and have breakfast, which was great.... More

I stayed here for a few days in May. The hotel is adequate, rooms are comfortable and bathrooms have a nice simple design. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good in the mornings with fresh food, juice, tea and coffee etc. Next to train links and not too far from the city centre... More

Sent to Bristol for a training course in JAN 2012 staying 2 nights here mainly due to location (15min walk from the course) and cost (~100.00 less than other comparable city centre hotels). Have to say the place was clean and quiet enough barring some minor street noise but you really notice the "express" nature of this place. Don't expect... More

I stay in bristol a lot, & the first time I've stayed in this hotel. Parking is sparse, and you have to move your car from the overflow car park before 0800. Facilities are usual sparse HIE type, but the restaurant is pretty poor. Worst aspect is a terrible noise from the air conditioning system! It groans & howled all... More

I am in my seventies and my partner eighty. When we checked in we told that our room was on the 6th floor. Only when we got to the elevator we read that it was out of order. No mention of this at check in or any attempt to put us on a lower floor. Help was given with one... More

We needed a room in Bristol at short notice and booked via a late booking website. For those travelling into Temple Mead rail station it could not be more convenient and for those arriving by car there is a car park (chargeable at £6 per night) immediately behind the hotel, but if you arrive late there may not be space... We stayed here for a Friday night in December. Our room was at the back of the hotel so not subject to any significant traffic noise that might affect rooms overlooking the busy main road. The room was clean, simply furnished and adequate for our stay but as the heating was not turned on, it was initially rather cold. Controls... More
