Wanted to be near the Bristol attractions for the family. Excellent choice, all the staff we met were wonderful & some of the most welcoming I have ever met. Room was gorgeous, individual & spotlessly clean! Food was superb! This wonderful place is run by a single lady, may I say she does a wonderful job, for a small country... More

We stayed here recently and had the chef's,Moe's, Christmas meal. 4 courses for £20 and everything for each dish was cooked perfectly. It was better than both mine and my husbands other work do's that had cost more. The room was nice and comfy and all the staff were very friendly. Definately stay again. More

I guess I had the room mentioned earlier , the guests next door were not noisy but I could hear the slightest sound.. The staff are really friendly and great service., Another downside would be the parking in a busy lane next door More

I stayed in the single room which can be expanded to a famiy room. When it is reduced to a single there is a poorly sound proofed door between the rooms - I could hear a sweet being unwrapped next door so the wall gave only an illusion of privacy. Otherwise a lovely old building and the food was good,... More

My wife and I stayed on Valentine's night so I could attend a course in Bristol the following morning. We asked for a quiet room and were given a lovely large bedroom at the back of the property. The pub was easy enough to find - only a short drive outside of the city. It suited my purposes, though I... More

Stayed here for one night. Arrived about 7.30pm and made to feel very welcome. We wanted an independent village pub with real ale and accomodation and the Angel was exactly what we were looking for. Its a great village pub, great location, with great food and drink. The room was very spacious, with TV, Trouser press, bottled water and different... More

"The rooms are clean and of a decent size. If you are a tired traveller and you are looking for a good night sleep, watch out for the room you are given! Our room had a partition door to another room and it was impossible to sleep ..The walls were so thin that you could hear our neighbour eating crisps... More

If you like old inns, you will love this place. The building dates back to 1475. Obviously listed, and it has not been butchered ! The place is quite amazing, its has character to beat all others. The walls, ceilings, corridors, stairs, rooms and floors are all crooked, its totally fabulous. It is like stepping back in time, I fell... More

We stayed at The Angel Inn for two nights to watch Bristol City play football. The Angel is in a small village outside Bristol (Long Ashton) but you walk to Ashton Gate in 10 min. Great little pub with excellent Butcombe. Rooms were clean and with all facilitys you can ask for. Bottled water for free. Great staff : ) More
