“Fall Getaway”

We stayed at Barry & Judy's (owners) rustic lodge for 2 nights and were absolutely delighted. A very unexpected bonus was the Halloween fireworks---they were fantastic for a small village, and worthy of a large metropolis event! The facilities were spotless and spacious, and the food at the Boardwalk Bistro was amazing, even though it wasn't open in late October... More

“Bamfield Lodge not a Fishing Lodge”

We just returned from a week stay at Bamfield Lodge. The owners at this place are "Super Anal". We arrived to little post-it note rules all over - including one not to wear our shoes inside. In response, feed back is good but there are reasons we have rules and are sorry if anyone is offended by them. The cottage these people stayed in was brand new and the newly painted floors stay cleaner (for others) if dirty shoes are removed. Drops of fish blood all along the walkway attracts many critters, especially bears. Our Bistro... More

Just got back from a fishing trip to the west coast of Vancouver Island in Barkley Sound. We stayed at the Bamfield Lodge, located in the tiny town of Bamfield BC.
