This is by far the best place to stay in Waterton. We stayed in the winter in the big Grizzly room at the end of the hotel. This is their fanciest room and has a jacuzzi tub in the room. We also stayed in the winter with some friends in a double room complete with fireplace and kitchen. The rooms... More

When staying in this area you have to realise where you are and how remote you are from City life.If it's 5 star treatment, full tv channels etc. then you are in the wrong place. If on the other hand you want clean, comfortable and a warm place to stay then Crandell Hotel is fine. Our room at first looked... More

The rooms at Crandall Mountain Lodge are pretty small, the one queen bed fills up the space (we stayed in room 8). There is a refrigerator in the room, and a TV too, but the TV only picks up two Canadian news channels, so it is only worth turning on to catch the weather report. The manager at Crandall is... More

We stayed in a double room and we found it to be very pleasant. Someone else commented that it was outdated and like staying in grandma's house. Well I thought that actually made it quaint and appealing, with quilts and that cosy feeling. The room was quite small but big enough to do it's job. We found it to be... More

We had never been to Waterton before. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Crandell Mountain Lodge. We visited at the end of the season. (Sept. 29/30th 2012) We stayed in room #3. It had a double (full) size bed and a twin bed. There was a little dining table, a TV (we never used), fire place, tiny kitchen... More

This was our final accomadation at the end of our 5 week amazing holiday in Canada. All other lodges, cabins, hotels etc were superb. We were in a 2 bed kitchenette room which was extemely cramped, dark and much in need of refurbishment. There was an outsized fridge in what was such a tiny kitchen that only one of us... More

Just got home from a weekend at the crandell. Staff is very very nice and accommodating , really liked the fresh baked cookies! The room was ok. Have to agree that it needs updating. Housekeeping was the biggest issue. Bathtub was filthy and the ant and mouse traps put me off a bit. I would imagine its hard to get... More

We enjoyed our stay, the room and bath were clean, the beds and pillows very comfortable. Close enough to walk to town but far enough away to avoid the noise. Overall the decor is somewhat dated, reminded me of grandma's house. Very pleasant tree covered patio with tables and chairs in front. Grab one of the awesome cookies in the... More

The location is fantastic as it's the first hotel you see when you come past the Prince of Wales. While we reserved a Standard Queen, we got a Double/Twin...not thrilled about that, but we made do. The room was ok, but the floor slanted in all directions! From the hinge side of the bathroom door to the handle side, there... More

Enjoyed the stay. Check-in went well. Staff was very friendly and once the room key was given he pulled out a map and started pointing out the location of several places as well as good places to see wildlife and suggested a couple of places to eat. The place is an older building with creaking stairs and could use some... More
