We visited your hotel as part of a hockey team that "took over" your motel this spring. The Motel is clean, comfortable and the owners are very accommodating. Its not a 4seasons but thats not why you go to Creston. Id recommend the Downtowner as a good value, in a great location with very pleasant proprietors. Matt and John

When rating accommodation, one must keep in mind the word "value." To me it does not matter what the price is, what matters is are you getting what you paid for? I paid $85 for a room at the Downtowner. Was it worth it? Yes. It was not much of a room, but hey, I got what I paid for... More

Thanks you so much for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. We do appreciate any and all feedback that helps us improve a guest's experience. We agree with your comments on value, although our sense of the Kootenay's market in 2013 seems to place your thoughts about price points in the minority. We have been working... More

Rob and Marge are gracious hosts and our room gave us a quiet, comfortable night's sleep. They provided us with indoor bike storage and allowed us to leave our car in their lot while we did a 10 day loop ride in the Selkirks.

This is my first review ever, and I feel compelled to do so. Six of us stayed at The Downtowner Motor Inn for two nights . We were bicycling part of The Selkirk Loop, and we needed a place to meet, leave our cars and then to which to return at the end of our journey, for another night. While... More

We are always grateful to those guests who take the time to provide feed back about their stay with us - positive and otherwise. We do need to correct a couple of minor things, however. There is a microwave available inthe common area next to the coffee bar, Rooms do not have microwaves. And, while there is instant coffee and... More

Certainly a no frills motel, yet for the price, the place is very clean, comfortable and inviting, and the owner looks after and cares about the customers. I would certainly recommend it to anyone passing spending time in Creston.

My wife and I decided to visit Creston Canada Day weekend, wineries, orchards, brewery, and some genuine local artists. We chose the Downtowner for several reasons, location, price, and comfort. The rooms are comfortable and clean to the point of near sterile. We liked having glasses in the room rather than some dubious plastic. The fridge came in handy for... More

While looking for a hotel in Creston for my daughter's skating competition I checked different ones online..originally booked the Hacienda but then heard from friends and online reviews that they were a very dirty hotel. Had stayed at the Skimmerhorn before but found the owners to be unfriendly to kids (atom hockey) so I didn't want to stay there again.... More

Great family run Inn. Our hockey team stayed for the weekend and they were completely accommodating! If yourelooking for "modern" then this isn't the place for you; however, if you're looking for convienient, affordable and friendly then look no further. I'm writing this review for two reasons; firstly, the husband and wife owner/operator deserves the great feedback but secondly, I'm... More

We arivred there, xmas morning at 1am, buzzed the bell and felt bad that i was getten the owner/manager outta bed, especially on xmas morning. He was clearly very sleepy and probably little annoyed at our arrival, but still hooked us up with a room and was surprisingly pleasant, a small deposit was asked for the room an the overall... More
