Hmm, disappointing. It is tired, old, dirty and in need of some decent $$ investment. The past reviews on TripAdvisor and the website all looked and sounded great! Old & crappy beds with lockers that all have a broken hinge each. “Worst place to stay in Fernie”

The place is beyond run down. The rooms, kitchen, and lounge we're all dirty. The mattresses are plastic and lumpy. The towels are stained. There was food left in the mini fridge from the last guest. The list goes on. I've stayed in hostels all over the world and sadly this ranks as the worst place.

Really what can I say! We have two full time cleaners during the day and our night receptionist cleans the kitchen 3 times during the evening. We completley check the cleaners work once a day. It is unfortunate that we have been called the worst hostel because we have also been called the best hostel....I guess everyone has different tastes.... More
