We are trying to purchase a home in Tahoe and in the last month have stayed here on three separate occasions for several nights. The front desk staff is welcoming and informative. The rooms are simple yet enough, especially for how economical this hotel is. The beds are very comfortable (there are two types of pillows for those picky about... More

Hotel is basic, good for the price of 55$. Has a small kitchen, which is great especially in winter. They should buy new towels though, bcz the one that they give u looks old. It is very cold in the bathroom, bcz they dont have any kind of heater there. Breakfast is included but it is sooo basic:( would recommend... More

I just stayed at Big Pines January 6-8, on a weekend ski trip with a friend. The best thing about this place is their attitude towards people travelling with their pets: it was GREAT, no issues at check-in, no complaints during my stay about my dog being there, barking, etc....Some minuses: there's not really too many choices at breakfast: it's... We recently had a great experience at BPMH. $45 plus taxes for a King room (#146). It was worth every penny. Nice, clean and spacious room with excellent heat. Safe in room and if you need, dogs are allowed for $15/night. Great location as well, nice and quiet but close to everything. I would definitely recommend folks to stay here... More

This place is great for anyone heading to South Lake Tahoe at the last minute. You cannot beat the price for a place that is so centrally located to restaurants, casinos, ski lift and the beach (within 2 blocks of everything you need). You even get free breakfast in the morning! The room itself could use some updating but is... More

This is the type of place that is not for everyone. It was our first trip to this area so we were definitely not familiar with the different sections of town. Big Pines is very centrally located which is convenient for those who want to be near the "action" (night life). Restaurants, shopping, casinos are within walking distance. There is... More

Thank you very much for the review. We are centrally located, which sometimes means that night life from nearby casinos may affect us. However, we always provide our guests with telephone number to our night manager and we encourage our guests to call him if they experience any inconvience. We are working on a plan to rejuvenate our property and... More

The motel was quiet, centrally located, clean, and comfortable at a very reasonable price. Exactly what we look for when we take a spur of the moment trip to just get away for a day or two. We will be back again!!! More

Our one night stay at the Big Pine Mountain House of Tahoe was a delightful surprise. The sparkling clean pool was fun for kids, and we could leave the car to walk one block to the Gondola, one block to evening fun at Stateline, and one block to the private Lake Tahoe beach! Our room had clean bathrooms, a firm... More

Big Pines was a nice suprise and an exceptional value. Rooms are VERY clean, tvs need an upgrade, but beyond that the $50 a night cost was a huge value especially compared to the cost of staying in one of the casino hotels and all of their aditional fees for the free internet, parking, etc. Big Pines wireless internet was...
