I reviewed this hotel on a previous stay, however having read of major investment in their accommodation, the money has clearly not reached Scotland. This is a shame as the location and staff are fantastic and merit investment. On the plus side it was very resonably priced for a two night family stay.

This Travelodge badly needs a refit. Warm and very basic but cigarette holes in net curtains, stained sofa bed with mismatched cushions and torn mattress cover. Shower head very low. Some repairs have been done to patch up but only serve to highlight faults. Bed uncomfortable. Will not return, despite price.

Arrived tired and worn out but the receptionist was great. We were weclome like old friends and nothing was too much trouble. This is an old travelodge but the staff make it. The attached service station is care worn and the service there was poor but no complaints about the travelodge itself
