Stayed for one night on business and found the hotel just what was needed, clean safe and friendly. Bar prices very high but a couple of pubs 2 min walk away. Only let own is the bathrooms are very 1970 and need some cash spend on them but otherwise a good hotel.

I stayed here for just one night en route to Barcelona via Southend Airport. The hotel is 3 minutes walk to the station, clean and comfortable. I didn't eat in their restaurant. There is no lift, so a bit of a hassle with a heavy bag. One ask - a bedside light would have been appreciated.
