This was our first trip to the Philippines and we were so happy that we stayed at this resort. It is perfectly set up for divers and especially those who are photographers. Not only is the diving relatively easy with short boat rides, shallow depths, and great dive masters who know when and where the current is high, there is... More

More importantly, your observations on the marine environment and divers’ conduct will definitely serve as valuable input in our continuing efforts to protect and preserve the... More

The price of the room is per head per night, quiet pricey. But the servings of food is overflowing. (lunch-lunch) which is why the price of the room/head is pricey. Because that includes your BUFFET meals. And they must be paying good enough salary to their chef! He offers the best food!!! at all times. - 5/5 on FOOD The... More

We are especially pleased about your comments regarding the “warmth of the people” and their happy disposition in being of service to you, as these were your main concerns and apprehension prior to your booking. Stayed for 3 days with 2 of my siblings, mother, and a 2.5-year-old toddler. The staff was attentive, patient and accommodating with all our requests. Food is worth noting; generous and delicious. It was my second time there and it was an even better experience than the first.

I was visiting the Philippines in September of 2012. Our first stop was for a work/pleasure meeting here at Dive Solana. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The water directly outside of the hotel is FULL of amazing coral and fish. Some of the best diving and snorkeling I've ever done and it's literally at your doorstep. A... More

Thank you for your review of Dive Solana. We are glad that you enjoyed your kayak and snorkeling experience in our beach /shore area. Some lucky guests spot the sea/marine turtles who live in our house reef. Should you have another business trip to the Philippines, we hope you visit us again for another scuba diving adventure. We have stayed at Solana quite a few times and until it recent renovation. The stairs are still steep and you have to walk down and climb up. The staff is warm and friendly. The food is OK and the servings are generous. The renovated rooms are comfortable enough. It is a good place whether it's for a long weekend... More

I just spent 2 nights at Solana with a group of 8 divers. We were on our way to Puerto Gallera but heard raving reviews of the muck diving in Anilao so decided to break the trip and spend 2 days there to start of the holiday. The resort is lovely and quaint with nice rattan furniture, clean rooms, and... More

“Solana is OVER PRICED” SERIOUSLY OVERPRICED, 5* prices but basic accommodation. £147 (including their tax) per night does NOT include any diving. April May 2012. This is a good resort that will cost 2 of you at least 8000 pesos per night, all in. The basic dive package of 3 dives per day will at least double that number to 16,000 per night. In the Philippines this is 5 star pricing. The Solana is not a 5 star resort. Why not? 1. Upon arrival you... More

Thank you for your review on Dive Solana. Dive Solana does not represent itself as a 5 star hotel, nor does it offer 5 star hotel rates. Two glorious weeks at this simple little resort. The staff are superb - helpful, kind and considerate. The diving was magnificent and our guide, Celso, kind and helpful finding us all the creatures to photograph that we asked for and many more we didn't. We will certainly be back.
