This hostel was wonderful and we ended up extending our stay. Nigel was super friendly and helped us with tips on which wineries to visit, cooked kangaroo hamburgers and booked the next hostel for us. The YHA wine tour was good value for the money and we got to see different types of wineries and try A LOT of wine.... More

First time the parents have come with us to a hostel. Different style accommodation that they were used to but they loved it! Lovely rural setting, close to vineyards, very clean. We stayed in 2 private rooms, 1 with an ensuite. Good value for money and very friendly staff. Not noisy for us. Enjoyed the outdoor living areas. Would stay... More

We stayed here two nights in a double room. We hired some bikes which were unreasonably expensive (22 dollar each) to go on a wine tour. The tour was good though. The room was clean but also expensive, and it was so cold in the night!! Maybe its better in the summer but you have to be able to stay... More

We stayed in a small camper-car outside the hostel, which cost us about 30 dollars for the night for two people. It is however cheaper to stay in a tent since that only costs 10 dollars per person even if you have a car parked there. The facilities are really good! Clean kitchen and bathrooms, nice dorms ( I saw... More

A very friendly, well located and comfortable hostel. A group of 4 girls and 4 guys came to stay for one night in December. The staff were great and the hostel was clean and well maintained. It's more like a large cabin than a hostel. We also did their wine tour which was fine. We visited (in order) the following... More

Located just out of town, which is good because the town is very uninteresting. Lovely small rustic hostel, large wooden veranda, Perfectly sized kitchen/lounge/dinner. The road outside did seem to have traffic on it all night, but the noise of the wildlife outside drowned it out, it was amazing to hear. Short walk from a brew pub up the road!... More

Our group of 5 girls stayed for 2 nights in February, as part of a winery tour from Sydney. The family that runs the YHA is lovely, they do everything from driver, to guide, to cook. The tour description said "multi-share accomodation" and we got a dorm to ourselves, with 3 sets of bunk beds. Everything was quite clean (for... More

My first YHA stay and only for a night. I travelled alone so I took the room with the ensuite. I was given a room good for 3 person, a double bed decker. The washroom is rather small but was sufficient. It's a simple room with no tv and even aircon, luckily I was there in the cold weather. YHA... More

I suppose we should have thought about this when we booked, but a 40 degree (celsius) day and no aircon in rooms, combined with no check in until 5pm meant we bailed and found somewhere else, which ended up being the equivalent price! The photo on the YHA site needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
