My husband booked us a surprise Valentine meal at the Post Inn. On arrival we had a drink at the bar, which was very warm and cosy with an open fire. The staff on arrival were smiley and extremely welcoming. After our drink, Mandy our hostess showed us to our table which was decorated beautifully for Valentines and again it... More

I walked into The post inn on saturday night at around 8pm, they were very busy for january which i thought must be a good sign! I was greeted by a very pleasant bar man who found us a table and made us aware that there would be a wait but the food would come out as soon as possible.... More

Like most of the reviewers, we were staying at the Travelodge and so decided to give the pub a try for our evening meal. Liked the fact that it was a quiet, traditional pub serving value for money food. We only stayed 3 nights, ate there all 3 nights and had good food all 3 nights.

Have used this pub over several years when going to airport. On our last visit we said no more we would find somewhere else.(full of kids at the bar with bikes and skateboards food looked like it had been thrown on the plate) Then yesterday on one of our trips home from the airport we decided to give it another... Staying at nearby Travelodge and within walking distance is the post inn or a little chef, so seemed the better option. It certainly was. Nice clean pub, with 5star hygiene rating. Good choice of food all locally sourced and cooked from fresh. Good service and friendly staff Large car park and beer garden too :D

Better than average pub food. Good portions. Very reasonable prices. Friendly staff. We visit Dartmoor an awful lot, and would not hesitate to return. Two of our party had allergies & dietry restrictions. These were dealt with by the staff with no fuss. Not busy when we visited, but reading other reviews, it can be, so booking may be a... More

This is how country pubs should be: an old stone building, great food at very reasonable prices, a couple of old boys putting the world to rights at the bar over pints of ale, a beer garden with a fantastic view. Less than 18 quid for two delicious main courses, great, great value. Friendly, attentive service too. I wish there... More
