This was our 4th stay here. The rooms are very clean & spacious. Staff are extremely courteous & helpful. Breakfast is good with a decent selection of foods. Close to shops (with 2 malls close by) and restaurants. The only reason I didn't give a 5star rating is that the parking is limited and can be a problem when the... More

I stayed at this B&B for 10 nights during a work trip. The room I stayed in was very spacious and comfortable, with an excellent bathroom (huge walk in shower and lovely bath). The room was also equipped with a microwave, fridge which meant small evening meals could be prepared in the room without any need to go out in... More

I had a wonderful stay, it felt like being home away from home. The staff is friendly and helpful and the place well kept and centrally located. I'd recommend the establishment to friends and family..

Stayed here for just a night. Arrived quite late at the lodge because of a delayed flight but didn't have much trouble in finding it thanks to GPS. The caretaker lives there only, so checking in wasn't much of an issue. But there was no food available at 10 pm!! However, the caretaker was kind enough to ride with us... More

I enjoyed everything about our stay. The room was great and featured a bath tub. The lady that was the caretaker was outstanding. Shehandled every request with poise, class and charm. The ownder/host was most accomodating and gracious. The house and grounds were very romantic and even the dogs were very friendly and added a comforting yet classy touch to... More

I stayed in the Out of Africa room; it was super comfortable, affordable, and quiet. Breakfast was served at whatever time you chose between 6-11am, so that was a great perk. An electric kettle w/ coffee and tea service, plus a small electric safe to store your valuables, were great additions as well. My only inconvenience, and it was minor,... More

First we have been guided by our rented gps to a very very bad place, but with the help of a friendly guy we met, we did arrive in the sweet Melville district of Johannesburg. The house seemed like a small victorian mansion, of course surrounded by electric fences. The housemaid welcomed us very friendly and we could write down... More

Melville is one of the few places in Jo'burg where you can find restaurants which are open to the street. From this Guest house you can reach it in 5-10min walking. Walking at night on your own is no problem here. Staff from the Guest house was very friendly and made my few days here very pleasant. Internet is free... More

I stayed here for 12 nights in September 2012. The property is a typical Melville bungalow, divided across two buildings. The rooms are all well-appointed, comfortable and en suite with spacious bathrooms. The decor is a mixture of modern and 'shabby chic'. Because I was staying for an extended period and the room was available, I was upgraded from the... More
