We were in Toronto for medical appointments at the Toronto General and wanted a hotel in close vicinity to the hospital, with some ameneties, specifically a kitchen. We settled on the Sutton Place, despite some reviews indicating that it was dated, and otherwise negative in nature.
We booked a 1-bedroom apartment through Apartments on Bay. The room itself is quite...

The Sutton Place was a swish location forty years ago. Today, it's an aging beauty - well maintained but in need of a serious makeover. It was upstaged by the Four Seasons and the Park Hyatt on Bloor, and now the Windsor Arms. For mid-range accommodation, it competes against the monstrous Delta Chelsea a bit to the south.
This is...

Booked Sutton hotel via priceline or hotwire, I don't remember but I do remember it was a good rice for that weekend as a lot of the hotels were 150+ for that night. We got a corner suite (living area separated by a closed door to the bedroom) The washroom was mediocre--nothing special. The bed was quite comfortable and the...

Check in and check out is efficient and rooms are clean, can't say much more about this hotel. Rooms are outdated, no WiFi access and dark. There is a small light in the bathroom but when you close the shower curtain you are in shadows.
It was snowing the night I was there and cold..I could not get any heat...

I am sorry to read that you had issues with the heating, glad we corrected it but non the less the distrubance of finding it not working must have been disappointing. We do check the heating and A/C when cleaning the room but some times things go wrong and we need your help to know about them. As to the...

My partner and I recently returned from a 6 day/5 night belated Christmas visit to Toronto. We had a lovely time visiting friends & family, sightseeing, shopping, and dining out. However, the trip was soured in great part by our stay at the Sutton Place Hotel, which was terrible..
We booked through Hotwire.ca and got a good price for a...

Stayed overnight while in Toronto for a job interview. Check-in and out was quick and easy. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean, gorgeous and the guest room was really nice. French-style ambiance which I love. Definitely had that high class feel for an amazing price (got the winter sale). Ordered room service for breakfast for the first...

The rooms at Sutton Place have been recently renovated. Ours was fresh, clean, and very spacious. Nothing extraordinary, but nice robes and bath products. We stayed in January, so we probably enjoyed a low-season rate, and the best shopping and dining was within easy walking distance.

Thank you for your comments - the location is wonderful, one block from the TTC-Subway line, ten minute walk to ROM and any location in Yorkville (or less if you walk fast) and there are few spots in the downtown that are more than a $10 taxi away. We hope you come again soon.

I stayed at this hotel for a conference and it reminded of Park Plaza hotel of Boston, though far better in upkeep. Still it reflected a bygone era of brilliance. The room was huge but the bathroom needs updating. If you request, the bath robe delivered is of superb quality. One night I ordered room service, the young green and...

This hotel is not a 4 Star hotel at all!! It may look 4 Star on the outside and inside but the service is more like 1*. Seriously the staff who work here treated me like i was in a...
