I went to check the room before deciding and saw that the tub was filled with silverfish...so I told the guy at reception and he offered another room...no discount, nothing. If there are silverfish in one room, guess what? they'll be everywhere.

Booked a room at the Travellers Inn based on the wonderful picture on a brochure stocked on the ferrys to Vancouver island. We stayed there for one night and paid about $81. For the price, it was a deal. The hotel is average but the room was immaculous. Parking was free and there was a free shuttle to downtown core, we had our own car so did not bother. Breakfast was free in morning. Overall, a good stay for the price.

After having problems booking online, I should have looked elsewhere. This hotel has two buildings and my small room was in the one with no reception lobby. Lack of upkeep was evident in the peeeling paint, broken window latch, and electrical plate hanging off the wall. I would not stay here again, despite good location to downtown and cheaper rate.
