We had previously stopped at the Calgary West Campground and enjoyed our week long stay but after checking in this time we couldn’t wait to leave and in fact cut our intended stay short. It was as though it was a totally different campground from the one we had enjoyed just a year or so ago. The previously well stocked... More

We experienced this camp ground 2 years ago and it was great: 50 amp power, powerful WI-FI at our site, pleasant staff. Boy what a let down this year. The new owners have done away with 50 amp and only offer 15 or 30 amp, no WI-FI at sites only in the registration/store, which as previously mentioned by other campers... More

Unfortunately this is the only campground in Calgary. We took a late fall trip, and stopped in Calgary on our way home. This is the only campground right in the city. It does have a good location and if you get a site on the exterior that backs into the trees, the spaces are fairly decent. It does look like... More

This was one of the worst campsites we have ever stayed on,and one of the most expensive. After 2 weeks in an RV camping in the Rockies we needed a campsite close to the city for our last night before we dropped off the RV. The pitches slope, the water pipe was too far from the RV to top up... More

So many of the earlier reviews describe exactly what you're getting: campsites so close that some slides looked like they were overlapping, we had to back out of our drive thru campsite because the camper next to us was parked so that we couldn't make the turn, grass was shared with the adjoining camper, picnic tables in need of paint... I think Trip Advisor is generous with a 2.5 * rating for this campground. It is an expensive option for being very un-kept with long grass, picnic tables with rotted seats and table tops, and just generally neglected and shabby. It appears that they have divided one site into two for additional revenue. The first site we were given wasn't... More

There are 300+ sites crammed into a space smaller than the average Walmart parking lot. Our site was on the side of a hill, within “salt passing” distance to our neighbour. The picnic table, which obviously hadn’t been painted or seen any maintenance in over a decade, was perched on a side hill, impossible to sit on let alone eat... More

We tented out for 1 night as a last resort. Campsites are extremely close together and aren't really laid out for any type of privacy or quiet. We were up all night because one person had too much to drink and snored like a hippo with a phlem problem. Looks as though it was really only meant for an RV.... More

We visited this campground mid June at the end of a wonderful 4 week holiday in an RV. This campground is without doubt the worst one we saw on this holiday or any holiday before. It does not resemble in any way the description given in books or on the internet. Dirty, dismal, unkempt and remote, with a practically empty... More

I looked online and decided Calgary West Campground was our best option. After arriving, we realized that it wasn't really "in the city". And so much for the claims of being "the only campground in the Calgary area with a swimming pool". . . the pool was empty, so the kids started out disappointed. The cost to park our trailer... More
